Original Idea

At the end of year 12, Nicole and I had another idea for our music video. We chose the pop genre rather than punk rock. We chose a song by Lady GaGa, because we both find her very interesting by what she does, sings about and wears as she is very ostentatious as a person. We chose the song Paparazzi, as we both really like the song and thought we could come up with some good ideas for it.

Narrative:
The girl singing as Lady GaGa is stalking a man who she loves. It starts off with him listening to his ipod on a train, then as the music starts we see on the ipod that he begins listening to the song. The train is very busy and in the middle of a crowd is the girl singing. He gets off the train, as does she and she follows him. When the chorus starts, shes sat in a car outside his house watching him and his girlfriend with binoculars. she then imagines her being the girlfriend. The second verse is her sitting outside a pub on the seafront, with a large number of empty glasses on her table, showing she's been there waiting for a long time. She hides behind a menu while he walks past on the beach. As he walks past she begins to follow him again.

Costume:
On the train, he is wearing a suit with the tie loosened and the top button undone, letting the audience assume he's coming back from work. The suit suggests he has a good job, earning a lot of money which is more attractive. In the first verse she sings "leather and jeans, garage glamorous", we decided because of this, she'd wear jeans, a leather jacket and black knee high boots. This makes her look sexy and also stands out as everyone else on the train would be wearing suits.
In the chorus, she's wearing something more Lady GaGa like, having over sized bows in her hair and different clothes on. He's wearing a baggy T-shirt and tracksuit bottoms as he's lounging in his house. We imagined the girlfriend to be very pretty, and wearing figure hugging clothes to make her look sexy, with long brown curly hair.

Location:
We thought that platform 3 at Dover Priory train station would be most suitable for the first verse as it's usually busy and that's where we both imagined it to be set.

His house would have been at my house, as there is available parking opposite my house and when the curtains are open, there is a clear view into the windows. We had an idea that maybe she could be stood in the grave yard opposite my house because we imagine Lady GaGa to do something like that but we decided against it as the actress said she wouldn't be comfortable in a grave yard.

The pub she was sat in would have been the tables outside the Kings Head in Deal, as it overlooks the beach and would have been very appropriate for the video.
