Linkin Park- Meteora album cover analysis

On this Linkin Park album cover for their album Meteora, it shows mild rebellion. There is a man spray painting, but you can't see what. This is unusual because it contradicts the album name. The word Meteora translates to 'the heavens above' in Greek. The place Meteora is one of the largest and most important complexes of Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Greece. The cover itself is in sepia, givng it a dull and dark look. It is also so the name of the band stands out more as it is written in white. It is also in capitals and very bold, with the corners being highlighed. The way in which Linkin Park is written is the same on every album cover and poster, giving the band itself individuality.
